It was there that Oakley met Hollis and Jerry, a couple who instantly fell in love with him.
“They found him roaming the streets in Kentucky, and after going through all the necessary steps to find a family there, the rescue brought him to Ohio, where we adopted him,” Hollis shared with GeoBeats Animals.
From the moment Oakley arrived, he impressed his new parents with his calm and affectionate nature.
A Well-Behaved Mystery
Though Oakley’s past remains a mystery, he quickly proved himself to be an exceptionally well-behaved dog.
He responded perfectly to commands, showed signs of being crate-trained, and displayed a level of affection that melted their hearts.
Hollis and Jerry couldn’t believe their luck, especially as medical students with busy schedules. “It’s like he was already trained,” Hollis marveled.
