Man Tries To Work Out But His German Shepherd Puppy Doesn’t Like That

Owning a dog, especially a playful puppy, is a true joy. Their boundless energy and silly antics can make us smile even when they’re up to no good. It’s hard to stay mad at those adorable faces!

However, there are moments when their mischievousness crosses the line, making it difficult to focus on daily tasks.

Yet, somehow, we still forgive them because of the love they bring into our lives.

This was exactly the case for one dog dad whose workout session was hilariously interrupted by his new German Shepherd puppy.

Though he initially found the situation funny, things quickly took a bizarre turn.

The Creepy Moment That Caught Everyone’s Attention

Nick Chapman, a proud owner of a five-month-old German Shepherd puppy named Leia, learned firsthand how persistent a playful pup can be.

While attempting a simple workout at home, Nick began doing push-ups. Just as he got into position, Leia decided it was playtime, not workout time.

In a now-viral Instagram video posted on his profile @_nickchap, Leia can be seen walking under Nick mid-push-up, tugging at his shirt, and even nipping at his hand.

When Nick gently asked her to behave, she completely ignored him and continued her antics.

Then, things got really strange.

Leia started making some unusual noises, and Nick humorously claimed she muttered something spine-chilling: “I crave violence.”

The Internet Loved It

Nick took the hilarious chaos in stride, captioning the video:

“She said shove your positive reinforcement where the sun don’t shine.”

The video quickly gained attention, with fans flooding the comment section with witty remarks.

One user joked, “German Shepherds don’t know the meaning of ‘behave yourself.’”

Another quipped, “She’s protecting you from working out – it’s dangerous, bro!”

A third added, “No pain, no gain – Leia’s just being your personal trainer!”

Why Puppy Nipping Shouldn’t Be Ignored

While the video was undeniably entertaining, experts caution that puppy biting, even during play, needs to be addressed early on.

Playful nibbling is normal behavior for young dogs, but if left unchecked, it can escalate into more aggressive biting as they grow.

This can become particularly concerning with larger breeds like German Shepherds, whose bites can cause significant harm in adulthood.

Fortunately, the American Kennel Club (AKC) provides effective training methods to discourage nipping and promote positive behavior in puppies. Consistency and patience are key!

Leia’s Progress – A Happy Ending

The great news? Nick has clearly taken the right steps in training Leia.

His recent Instagram posts show a much calmer, well-behaved pup who loves spending time with her dad, proving that with the right approach, even the most mischievous puppies can learn to behave.

Way to go, Nick and Leia!
